ภูมิปัญญากับพิธีกรรมสืบชะตาของสังคมล้านนา LOCAL KNOWLEDGE AND EXTEND ONE'S LIFE RITUAL IN LANNA SOCIETY

Abstract

Wisdom is considered to be the knowledge of ancestors who noticed the natural phenomenon and then, integrated this phenomenon with their way of life through religious belief process in order to live happily in their society. Their way of life leads to custom, culture, tradition and also religious ceremony, for example, the religious ceremony of life prolonging that appears in the North of Thailand or “Lanna”. This religious ceremony consists of various kinds of Lanna beliefs such as the number “108” has the reason in calculating zodiac in astrology, the power of planets, the power of virtues of the Buddha, the power of  Buddhist doctrine and the power of Buddhist monk which are considered to be the sign of luck in living.
