ACINTEYYA IN BUDDHADASA BHIKKHU’S VIEWPOINTS

Abstract


This Article paper is “ACINTEYYA IN BUDDHADASA BHIKKHU’S VIEWPOINTS”. From the study, it is found that Acinteyya in the Three Baskets means the four things which are not suitable for thinking: - 1) Buddha-Visaya meaning the Buddhas’ characteristics, 2) Jhanavisaya meaning the Visaya of Iddhiriddhi possessed by one who is of Jhana, 3) Kammavisaya means the Visaya which is of the rules of Kammas and the results of Kammas, 4) Lokavisaya means the Worldly Visaya, Acinteyya in which the Buddha said that one should not think about it. If one thinks about it, one will be crazy.
Ven Buddhadasa Bhikkhu’s viewpoints in the matter of Acinteyya, in the Dhamma languages and in the peoples’ one, as fallow: - 1) The Buddha- Visaya in the Dhamma language, means the real Dhammas, 2) Jhanavisaya in the Dhamma language, if it is not successful, it is called Lokiya Jhana. If one is successful in Maggas and Phalas beginning from Ven. Sotapanna on word, one is called Lokuttara. One which Ven. Buddhadasa Bhikkhu called in Dhamma Language as Sunnata, 3) Kammavisaya in the peoples’ language is the bad luck. However, in the Dhamma language, it means the action. If it is a good one, it is called the white one. If it is not good, it is the black one, and it is not black or not white, it is called the end of the actions, 4) Lokavisaya in the peoples’ language is the ground. Loka in the Dhamma language is the sufferings, the changes and the impermanence.
