The Nine Basic Fundamental Moral Behaviors of Students Thepsatri Rajabhat University
Abstract
The objective of this research aims to study nine basic moral behaviors of students studying in Thepsatri Rajabhat University and to survey moral behaviors in the past three months of students studying in Thepsatri Rajabhat University in accordance with “Morality leads to Wisdom” policy of the Ministry of Education. The population of this research consisted of 170 students who have registered in subjects being taught by Assoc.Prof. Dr.Aumthip Srithong in academic year 2/2015The data- gathering instrument was questionnaire comprising a 4 rating scale 72 items basicmoral behaviors and 36-item moral behaviors in the past 3 months. The statistics for data analysis were percentage, mean, and standard deviation, with t-test for hypothesis testing. The research findings were as follows.
1. The overall nine basic moral behaviors of students studying in Thepsatri
Rajabhat University are found at a moderate level. When considered into each aspect, it is noted that harmony, diligence, discipline, bodily hygiene, politeness, service mind, sense of economizing, honesty, and mental cleanness are ranked from the most to the least in terms of mean scores, respectively.
2. The survey of moral behaviors in the past three months of students studying in Thepsatri Rajabhat University show that most of student reflect their moral behaviors like discipline, university’s rules and regulations, sense of responsibility, punctuality, honesty
and perseverance.
