Development Criticism in Context of Thai Society

Abstract

The development of the past, every country, every agency and every man, they all struggled for the one best way that could change their lives for the better living until well-being. The objective of the development in the past, we’ve followed in the footsteps of Western industrialized countries which intensely focused on economic development as becoming the world standards and also focused into the economic system of capitalism, then finally we run on the part of the globalization with unbalanced growth and invariably exploited by rich countries. The developments in the past always overpass the community or the involvement of the public, served people as client. The resulted in that development platform pushed unwilling community was being forced to develop.
     If you wish to develop with effective and sustainable, it should focus on the community or local wisdom, to be the main procedure in development. By using the body of local knowledge, community culture into a tool in the alternative development, or processing on the way under the Sufficiency economy concept and Buddhist Development economics, applying to be a part of the sustainable development, which such an appropriate path to Thailand and do not need to follow the ways of the Western models anymore.
