Abstract


This article study the complexity of narratives to memory of Museum of World War II to recognition memory contemporary society. Aims to study proposed series of memories and relationships of the war museum in Kanchanaburi province. This article is the proposed series of memories of the War Museum. Choosing narratives and objects exhibited in the museum. And reconstruction of memory for the War Museum. How to recognize a relationship between the creator and the receiver memory. By the memory of Pierre Nora, the framework for link analysis. Reconstruction of memory from the past to the present. Called site of memory, most observers viewed the museum. Interviews with presenters and museums. And the storage and recall (anzac day) and a bridge crossing the square. The study area consists of the 4 museums in Kanchanaburi. Including, 1) The JEATH War Museum 2) Art gallery and museum of World War II 3) Hellfre Pass Memorial Museum 4) Thailand – Burma Railway Museum The results of that narratives of memory offered in each of the war museum. Reconstruction to different set of memories. War is mainly a story on a series of memories about the pain, suffering and loss of all prisoners of war and those who were enlisted to build a railroad. These narratives were presented as the truth in the past, such as museum memories. Thailand – Burma Railway Museum, but for The JEATH War Museum. Art gallery and museum of World War II,
the creation narrative memories focused on morality. And the memories of people in Kanchanaburi is associated with Japanese soldiers and prisoners of war. The presentation of the museum’s collection of memories each. Affect the perception of people in today’s society. There are reconstruction of memory have a causal link between the memory location.
