บทบาทด้านการสาธารณสงเคราะห์ของพระภาวนาธรรมาภิรักษ์ (หลวงพ่อรักษ์ อนาลโย) จังหวัดพระนครศรีอยุธยา

Abstract

บทคัดย่อ

          งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 3 ประการ คือ 1) เพื่อศึกษาแนวคิดและทฤษฎีที่เกี่ยวกับบทบาทด้านการ  สาธารณสงเคราะห์ของพระสงฆ์ 2) เพื่อศึกษาบทบาทด้านการสาธารณสงเคราะห์ของพระภาวนาธรรมาภิรักษ์ (หลวงพ่อรักษ์ อนาลโย) จังหวัดพระนครศรีอยุธยา 3) เพื่อศึกษาผลการดำเนินงานด้านการสาธารณสงเคราะห์ของพระภาวนาธรรมาภิรักษ์ (หลวงพ่อรักษ์ อนาลโย) เป็นงานวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพโดยเน้นการศึกษาเอกสาร และการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกผู้ให้ข้อมูลหลักจำนวนทั้งสิ้น 10 รูป/คน

          ผลการศึกษา พบว่า พระสงฆ์แม้จะเป็นนักบวชแล้วก็ไม่ได้มุ่งปลีกวิเวกละทิ้งสังคมเพื่อบำเพ็ญเพียรทางจิตโดยหวังบรรลุธรรมที่ละเอียดลึกซึ้งเพียงอย่างเดียว เพราะนอกจากจะมีหน้าที่ศึกษาและปฏิบัติตามหลักพระธรรมวินัยแล้ว ยังต้องคอยดูแลช่วยเหลือชี้นำสังคมทั้งด้านจิตใจและด้านกายภาพเท่าที่จะทำได้ โดยมีหลักธรรมเป็นพื้นฐาน ซึ่งการสาธารณสงเคราะห์ก็เป็นหนึ่งในงานที่พระสงฆ์ควรปฏิบัติเพื่อช่วยเหลือสังคม ดังกรณีที่ พระภาวนาธรรมาภิรักษ์ (หลวงพ่อรักษ์ อนาลโย) จังหวัดพระนครศรีอยุธยา แม้ท่านจะเป็นพระสายปฏิบัติด้านกรรมฐาน แต่ก็ยังไม่ละทิ้งบทบาทด้านการสาธารณสงเคราะห์ต่อสาธารณาชน โดยสามารถประมวลบทบาทของท่านได้ 5 ด้าน ได้แก่ 1) บทบาทด้านกิจกรรมที่วัดจัดเพื่อประโยชน์ส่วนรวม 2) ด้านกิจกรรมช่วยพัฒนาชุมชนและสังคม 3) ด้านการสร้างสาธารณสมบัติ 4) ด้านการช่วยเหลือประชาชนที่ประสบภัยต่าง ๆ และ 5) ด้านการจัดพื้นที่ในวัดเพื่อให้บริการประชาชน ผลการดำเนินงานทั้ง 5 ด้านข้างต้นนี้เป็นที่ประจักษ์และยอมรับจากทุกภาคส่วนไม่ว่าจะเป็นหน่วยงานภาครัฐ เอกชน และประชาชน

Abstract

          This research has 3 objectives: 1) to study the concepts and theories about the roles in public welfare played by monks 2) to study the roles in public welfare played by Phrapawanathammaphirak (Lhongpho Rak Anālayo) in Ayutthaya Province 3) to study the outcomes of public welfare played by Phrapawanathammaphirak (Lhongpho Rak Anālayo). It is a qualitative research mainly focusing on the documentary study and in-depth interview of the ten key informants.  

          The study revealed that though the monks were ascetics, they did not leave the society finding only the seclusion as to practice the mental development and achieve the sublime state of mind. The monks not only study and practice in accordance with what the Buddha taught, but they also take parts in caring and guiding the men in society both mentally and physically at their best on the basis of Buddhist Teachings. The public welfare is one of the tasks that the monks should do as to help people. It is seen that Phrapawanathammaphirak (Lhongpho Rak Anālayo) in Ayutthaya Province, though he is well known for his talents in practicing meditation, still plays a key role in the public welfare. His roles can be concluded in the following five ways: 1) rendering activities at his monastery for the benefits of public, 2) developing communities and societies, 3) constructing the public premises or places, 4) recurring and helping people for their disasters, and 5) creating the specific units in his monastery for the public service. Outcomes of the aforementioned roles played by him are well witnesses and generally recognized by the public.
