              ในปัจจุบันเราจะเห็นได้ว่าการบริหารงานทั้งภาครัฐและเอกชนเปลี่ยนแปลงไปอย่างมาก  ต้องทันต่อเหตุการณ์ความเปลี่ยนแปลง  โดยการนำหลักธรรมาภิบาลมาประยุกต์ใช้ในการบริหารงานของภาครัฐ  ซึ่งการใช้หลักธรรมาภิบาลจะทำให้หน่วยงานของรัฐ มีประสิทธิภาพและประสิทธิผล อีกทั้งยังเป็นกลไกในการติดตามประเมินผลและตรวจสอบการบริหารงาน เพื่อป้องกันไม่ให้เกิดความเสียหายแก่การบริหาร  เป็นการสร้างสำนึกที่ดีในการบริหารงาน และการทำงานในองค์การ และจัดระบบที่สนับสนุนให้มีการปฏิบัติตามสำนึกที่ดี ไม่ว่าจะเป็นในเรื่องของการบริหารงานอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ไม่สิ้นเปลือง การติดตามการทุจริต ความโปร่งใส ตรวจสอบได้  โดยคำนึงถึงผู้ที่เกี่ยวข้องที่จะได้รับผลกระทบ เนื่องจากผู้ที่ได้รับผลกระทบจากการปฏิบัติงานในหน่วยงานของรัฐนั้น จะเกี่ยวข้องกับประชาชนโดยตรง
