A MOTIVATED OF PRACTICE MEDITATION TO HAPPINESS OF MAHACHULALONGKORNRAJAVIDYALAYA UNIVERSITY PHRAE CAMPUS’STUDENTS

Abstract


This research study on “Motivation for the practice of Vipassana meditation for creating happiness among students of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University Phrae Campus” has the objectives: 1) to study introspection of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University students and 2) to study the model of motivation for practicing meditation in creating happiness among students of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University. The Royal College of Phrae Campus is a qualitative research study. The research team has studied information from documents, textbooks and related research. and collect data from in-depth interviews. The results of the study are summarized as follows: Vipassana Meditation Practice of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University Students Starting on September 24, 1981, Mahachulalongkorn rajavidyalaya University Council Has considered the work of introspection business by opening the Central Office of Vipassana Business at Wat Mahathat, Bangkok in 1998, changed the Institute of Vipassana business to be the division of Vipassana business. directly up to the Dharmanuth section Office for the Promotion of Buddhism and Social Services At present, the Vipassana Business Department also provides services in the field of Vipassana Meditation for continuous succession. Thus, it was born into a school of meditation in the form of "collapse um, pong um". which is correct in accordance with the Maha Satipatthana Sutra Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University uses the course  of Vipassana Meditation practice according to the 4 Foundations  of Satipatthana: (1) Kayanupassana Satipatthana; contemplating the body in the body internally (2) vedananupassana satipatthana contemplating feelings in internal feelings frequently; (3) cittanupassana satipatthana contemplating the mind in the inner mind frequently and (4) dhammanupassana satipatthana contemplate the dharma in the internal dharma often Motivation for the practice of Vipassana meditation for creating  happiness among students of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, Phrae Campus found that there were 8 aspects: should use the Vipassana Master from outside with expertise and experience in order to be able to convey and give advice to students; both in terms of place, time, and clearly scheduling each step; and content should cover both theory and practice 4) duration should be practiced at least 10 days for continuity in practice 5) place should be clean, shady, spacious, quiet 6) food and food consumed should be comfort food for one's own existence; Vipassana meditation practice should be formatted according to Sappaya principles 7 and 8) in terms of the results obtained from the Vipassana meditation practice, namely the physical aspect.
