Buddhism and Thai Society : Tenacity and Challenge of Decades (2548 – 2558 BC.)

Abstract


The Buddhism in Thai society 10 years ago had many problems, the problem with the interpretation of the doctrine, which is challenging the ability of sangha. Another problem that caused adverse degeneration of faith ordained travesty. The false priests have caused adverse effects to the image : and infiltration situation is causing adverse effects to Buddhism. Meanwhile, there the issue of female ordination as a nun with an old problem that was brought up to resuscitate a new legitimacy. It is also fortunate that in the midst of higher Buddhist followers, there are also good priests. There are many who try to figure out their roles as religious heirs who bear the burden and reliance of society. This is why religion is observed as good, and is why Buddhism is respected in Thai society.
