The Study of Parents' Satisfaction with the Teaching and Learning Management of Ban Khoktahan School, Srakaeo Primary Educational Service Area Office 2

Abstract


The purposes of this study were: 1) To study parents’ satisfaction towards learning management of Ban Khoktahan School, Tapaya District, Srakaew.2  2) To compare parents’ satisfaction towards learning management of Ban Khoktahan School, Tapaya District, Srakaew Province, in accordance with gender.

The samples comprised 180 students’ parents of Ban Khoktahan School, Tapaya District, Srakaew Province, in academic year 2016. The instruments used for gathering the data were five-point rating scales questionnaire with Likert’s rating scale, which had the reliability value at 0.96. The statistical analysis of the data included frequency, percentage, standard deviation, and independent sample t-test.

             The results of the study were:

             1. The satisfaction of parents at Ban Khoktahan School, Tapaya District, Srakaew Province, in general was the highest level. For each part, it showed that the satisfaction in the learning process was the highest level which distinguished on teacher provided academic support to high proficiency and low proficiency students by focus on learner-centred approach.

             The satisfaction of parents in the qualities of teacher was at the highest level which distinguished on teacher had morals, and ethics principles; and was a good model to others.

             The satisfaction of parents in learning strands of curriculum was at the highest level, which distinguished on school curriculum was consistent with the Basic Education Core Curriculum. Moreover, it was consistent with current state and local affected students can apply various processes in daily life happily.

             The satisfaction of parents in the factors facilitated learning management was at high level, which distinguished on classroom was appropriate light and air ventilation. In contrast, school ought to improve computer room due to there were insufficient computer and should set up high speed internet for searching the information suitable with information technology age.

             The satisfaction of parents in the learning management assessment was at high level, which distinguished on distinct criteria of transition to next grade and graduation. Nevertheless, teacher didn’t appropriate analyse to utilize the results of assessment for developing learners and learning management, school had to provide training in knowledge about the analysis of assessment  results to develop learners.

          2. Male and female had satisfaction towards learning management at Ban Khoktahan School, Tapaya District, Srakaew Province were significantly no different.
